king family update

Jeremy will be home Sept.29 - Oct 6 for a pre deployment visit. He is bringing one of his buddies home with him. We are looking forward to having all our kids home together for a bit. Not so  crazy about the deployment to Afghanistan but the sooner he goes the sooner he comes home.

Family Update

Derek is still working at REI (an outdoors sporting goods store) in Spokane.
I work at our church office.
Josiah is 4 and 1/2 months old now, he can roll over and he is teething. :(
We are currently the youth pastors of our church and it is great to see the group growing and building up their relationships with God and each other.

Other than that, we haven't really been up to much. :D
Here's a recent pic of Josiah.

Follow the instructions

I was able to get it to work once my computer was shut down and restarted. Lets have everyone post at least on message so we know it will work for everyone. Thanks Jennifer for setting it up for us.

Alvey Update

I will start the first post so that anyone who is not familiar with blogging can get an idea of what it's all about. August was a very busy month for us. The first Sunday in August we had the wonderful opportunity to bless McKenna. (no pics yet, they are still on my camera). Then that following Monday & Tuesday my best friend from college, Kamille was able to come and stay with us. Then that Wednesday, our niece came to stay with us until that Friday when we headed to Burley. Then on Saturday we got up and headed to Utah to see Josh's grandparents (they hadn't met McKenna yet) and some of his other relatives. We were able to stay there till Tuesday. We got to see lots of family while we were there and we took Hunter to the zoo & temple square and he got to ride his first real train, and he LOVED it. Then we stayed in Burley from that Tuesday until Sunday and had a wonderful time with both families, got to enjoy fair week with them, and had a family reunion for Josh's family during fair week. We went to Steadman's in Raft River and had a blast! For those who haven't heard of Steadman's, they have a sod farm and have created a little park with a couple waterslides, like a big slip & slide, and they have a zip line and a few other things. Hunter was brave enough to go down both slides by himself! It was so much fun and I highly recommend it!!! We haven't gone too far since that adventure. 9 days away from home wore us out and we are quite content staying home. :) We hope all is well with everyone and look forward to everyone's updates! Sorry I have no pics, they are still on my camera. I will get some on here soon.

Love to all,

Josh, Jen, Hunter & McKenna
